Three of his most famous songs are “Ring on fire”, “Sunday morning comind down” and “Folson Prison Blues”. His nickname was “the man in black”. Cash liked to perform in prisons for free.
Hank Williams was born in Alabama. Even if he died in 1953 at only 30 years old, he is considered on of the greatest country singers at all time. His greatesth hits are “I’m so lonesome I coud cry”, “Hey good lookin’” and “I’m a long gone daddy”. Halk also like to sing western music.
Merle Haggard. This californian singer has 73 years old nad he leleased his laters album in 1988.Merle is also a very talented guitarist. His most famous songs are :”I think I’ll just stay here and drink”, “I wonder if they ever think of me”, “Things aren’t funny any more”. In total he had 38 number one hits. He received 3 Grammy Awards andhe won the “Top Male Vocalist” from the Academy of country Music for five years.
Patsy Cline was one of the most beloved country singers. She also liked to sing pop music. “I fall to pieces ” was one of her greatest hits. In a TV show, she was voted by the viwers “the greatest women of country music”. Patsy died in 1963 in a plane crash.
Jimmie Rodgers was also knows as the “father of country music”. When he sang his songs, he liked to yodel. His greatest hits included “Peack Picking Time”, “Moonlight and Skies” or the well-known “T for Texas”. “Years Ago” was his last song he recorded.
The Carter Family was formed be A.P. , Sara and Maybelle Carter. They were considered to be the first group that tryed the country music. They had great hits like “Can the Circle be Unbroken” or “Wildwood Flower”. The group disolved but later, in 1987 it was reunited, but with different members : June, helen and Anita Carter.
